London Construction Awards 2025 winners announced! ⭐️

On Friday the 26th September, the London Construction Awards 2025 brought the industry together for a spectacular evening, celebrating the very best of the UK’s built environment.

Hosted by hit comedian Seann Walsh, the event brought together over 450 industry professionals to honour achievements across 20 hotly contested categories. This year saw a record-breaking number of entries, showcasing the innovation, growth, and diversity powering the UK’s construction industry. It was a night to remember!

A special thank you goes to the panel of judges for their expertise and dedication, and to Dirk Vennix, CEO of CIRIA, whose inspiring opening speech perfectly set the tone for an unforgettable night.

EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT 

Winner: McAleer & Rushe

Runner Up: Wates Smartspace

The judges felt that McAleer & Rushe stood out for their strategic, embedded approach to community engagement, delivering measurable social, environmental, and economic impact across multiple projects. Their Taxi House project impressed with innovative sustainability measures, local job creation, and meaningful community involvement


WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR 

Winner: Mothers Into Work

Runner Up: WISH London

The judges felt that by combining confidence-building, hands-on experience, and strong partnerships with leading firms, the initiative has created real, measurable pathways into the growing Green Skills sector, driving meaningful progress for gender diversity and inclusion.


DIVERSITY & INCLUSION INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR 

Winner: Mace

Runner up: K4 Group

The judges felt that Mace’s Pride ERG initiative deserved the award for its creativity, impact, and genuine commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion. While many organisations are scaling back, Mace has gone further—using powerful symbols, global collaboration, and year-round advocacy to embed allyship and education into its culture, setting a strong example for true inclusion in construction.


APPRENTICESHIP INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR 

Winner: LABC

Runner up: ESG

The judges felt that LABC’s national apprenticeship programme deserved the award for its scale, impact, and forward-thinking approach. At a time when local authorities face huge resource pressures, the programme is successfully training the next generation of building control surveyors while driving diversity, inclusion, and long-term change in the sector.


RESIDENTIAL PROJECT OF THE YEAR

Winner: FBM Architects – Bancroft TMC and Wickford Street

Runner up: Southwark Council – Rennie Estate

The judges were impressed by their thoughtful and exemplary approach to social housing design. By combining strong social and environmental principles with elegant, understated architecture, FBM Architects delivered a project that sets a new standard for quality and sustainability in affordable housing.


COMMERCIAL PROJECT OF THE YEAR, Sponsored by AutogenAI

Winner: Reach CM – Hobson Hotel

Runner up: VolkerFitzpatrick – Eastbrook Studios

The judges were highly impressed by Reach CM’s sensitive and thoughtful conversion of a listed building, which beautifully restores its historic features while introducing bold, contemporary elements. Every design choice adds value, celebrating the building’s heritage while modernising it with incredible attention to detail.


ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN OF THE YEAR

Winner: Wilkinson King Architects - Field House

Runner up: Graphisoft and Anotherkind Architects - Sherwood Observatory

Wilkinson King Architects’ Field House was praised for its elegant and sensitive response to a highly sensitive site. Using local natural materials and subtle references to agricultural style, the design blends seamlessly with its surroundings while showcasing impressive susainability credentials and beautifully crafted details throughout.


EXCELLENCE IN SUSTAINABILITY - PROJECT 

Winner: Gensler - The Acre

Runner up: McAleer & Rushe - Taxi House, Westbourne Park

Gensler’s The Acre won for its outstanding approach to sustainable retrofit, turning a building once set for demolition into a low-carbon, future-ready office while demonstrating best practice in circularity, wellbeing, and long-term adaptability.


EXCELLENCE IN SUSTAINABILITY - PRODUCT

Winner: Kenoteq - K-BRIQ

Runner up: Marshalls - EDENKÉRB

The judges felt that K-BRIQ deserved the award for its innovative use of nearly 100% recycled construction waste to create a durable, reliable building material. It combines quality and scalability to offer a practical, long-lasting solution that reduces construction waste


CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR 

Winner: Workplace Creations

Runner up: Ground Up Property Group

The judges felt Workplace Creations deserved Contractor of the Year for its innovative modular approach, sustainable material reuse, and strong employee engagement, delivering a challenging HRBR project efficiently and safely.


CONSULTANT OF THE YEAR

Winner: Beatrice Ronchetti

Runner up: Quartz Project Services

The judges felt Beatrice Ronchetti deserved Consultant of the Year for her passion and lasting impact on the built environment, particularly through her CLEAR strategy and efforts to empower, train, and support women to lead in construction.


DIGITAL CONSTRUCTION TEAM OF THE YEAR 

Winner: TAYWOOD Engineering

Runner up: The BIM Engineers

The judges felt Taywood Engineering deserved Digital Construction Team of the Year for their clear, practical use of BIM, drones, GIS, and other tools. By working closely with the client, upskilling their team, and focusing on real results, they delivered measurable benefits on the Meridian Water project while supporting sustainability and industry standards.


MARKETING TEAM OF THE YEAR sponsored by Scopic Productions. 

Winner: AtkinsRealis

Runner up: Strongdor

The judges felt AtkinsRealis deserved Marketing Team of the Year for their bold, inclusive, and data-driven #HackaFuture campaign. By taking a fresh approach to recruitment and brand visibility, they achieved measurable results and set a new benchmark for marketing in the sector.


PROJECT TEAM OF THE YEAR

Winner: GSK

Runner up: Bupa

The judges felt GSK deserved Project Team of the Year for their strong “One Team One Ambition” approach. By embedding collaboration and corporate values across the team, they successfully delivered a complex project through all RIBA stages in just 23 months.


FIRE SAFETY SOLUTION OF THE YEAR

Winner: FDM By UAP

Runner up: Ajax Systems - FireProtect 2 AC

The judges felt that the new Training Centre UAP is establishing is both necessary and highly beneficial. It reflects a commitment to creating safe environments for people to live in, while also recognising the need for learning centres to be restructured and delivered in a completely new way.


SAFETY & SECURITY SOLUTION OF THE YEAR

Winner: Eagle Eye Networks

Runner up: Rewind Your Mind

The judges felt Eagle Eye Networks deserved this award for its innovative use of AI to improve site security. The solution is modern, cost-effective, scalable, and helps clients work more efficiently while enhancing safety.


CONSTRUCTION SOFTWARE OF THE YEAR

Winner: Revizto

Runner up: CMS – CMS Desk

The judges felt Revizto deserved this award for improving collaboration across all project stakeholders. By enabling access to construction information throughout design, coordination, and construction, it helps AEC teams deliver projects more efficiently and effectively.


TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION OF THE YEAR sponsored by Acute Business Advisory.

Winner: Moasure

Runner up: GenVue – PowerMotion

The judges were impressed by Moasure for its simple yet powerful solution to measuring construction sites. It improves accuracy and efficiency on every project, providing a practical tool that users rely on.
