London Construction Awards 2023 Winners Announced!
Last Friday, the winners of the London Construction Awards were announced at a glittering awards ceremony in London.
Hosted by comedian Dom Joly, over 400 guests from across the industry attended as winners were announced in twenty categories.
The London Construction Awards celebrate the achievements, developments and innovations of the UK’s built environment over the past year and this year saw a record-breaking number of entries. The range of companies that entered was incredibly diverse and reflected the strength of the industry.

Outstanding Achievement 2023 - Muyiwa Oki, President of the Royal Institution of British Architects
Muyiwa was awarded for bringing transparency and inclusion to the next generation of talent in the industry, championing and building the skills for the digital future.
He stands for a radical rethink of how the industry designs and builds. He wants the profession to help find solutions to the climate emergency, and social housing and to put a greater emphasis on how the industry serves ordinary communities across the UK.
Supplier of the Year - Xylotek - Advanced Timber Structures
The judges were impressed with their unwavering commitment to excellence in service and sustainability. Xylotek's exceptional service quality, sustainability initiatives, and pioneering spirit truly set them apart as Supplier of the Year.
Product Innovation of the Year - HP Siteprint
The judges were impressed with the robotic solution which increased project efficiency and improved outcomes by reducing the margin of error.
Construction Software of the Year - Buildots
The judges noted the impressive functionality and user experience provided, as well as the ability to integrate seamlessly with existing programs and processes.
Technological Innovation of the Year, sponsored by Salesforce - VJ Technology
The judges loved how the VJ iStore reduces costs whilst being a sustainable onsite procurement solution. The easy-to-use and intelligent design also impressed.
Specialist Contractor of the Year - Guildprime Specialist Contracts
The judges were impressed with how Guildprime met tight deadlines whilst still achieving high-quality results. Combined with fantastic ESG initiatives and increased profits they saw Guildprime as the worthy winner.
Fire Safety Solution of the Year, sponsored by The Fire Protection Association - PlanRadar
PlanRadar was commended on their digital platform which effectively documents issues and tracks their resolution. The judges noted this efficient platform effectively helped ensure buildings were compliant.
Health and Safety Solution of the Year - Flannery Plant Hire and Spillard Safety Systems
The judges called this entry ‘innovative’ and commented that Flannery Plant Hire and Spillard Safety Systems offered a vital and bespoke safety solution, which has the potential to leave a significant positive legacy.
Excellence in Sustainability – Project, sponsored by Dawsongroup vans - Bloom Developments
Judges commended Bloom Development’s ambitious approach to covering all aspects of sustainability, and feel that their development will leave a lasting legacy on the local area.
Excellence in Sustainability – Product - Ecocem Global
This award is for Ecocem Global’s Ecocem Ultra, a sustainable alternative to usual cement. The judges commented this is a meaningful alternative with considerable environmental advantages.
Excellence in BIM and Digital Construction - John Sisk and Son
The judges were impressed with the innovative off-site manufacturing reporting tool, which enhanced the delivery of the precast façade panels on the Wembley NE02/NE03 project.
Residential Project of the Year - Rolfe Judd - Willow Walk
The Willow Walk project impressed with its high-quality residential-led mixed-use scheme and affordable homes. The impressive sustainable design set the project apart.
Project Design of the Year - L&P Group – The JJ Mack Building
Judges commented on the project’s unwavering commitment to excellence from conception to construction. They said despite the complexity, tight timelines and budget constraints, L&P’s ingenuity prevailed.
Architecture and Design Firm of the Year - ANOMALY
The judges chose Anomaly due to their outstanding commitment to innovative design, sustainable practices, and meaningful collaboration.
Engineering Consultant of the Year - Mott MacDonald
Mott MacDonald was commended on their desire to leave a lasting legacy through not only the projects they deliver but also through their staff development, use of innovative tools and collaboration with the communities they serve.
Excellence in Community Engagement - Willmott Dixon Interiors
The judges selected Willmott Dixon Interiors for the 4 community projects showcased, which clearly reflected how the company had invested in local communities and their social infrastructure.
Marketing Campaign of the Year - Aggreko
This award goes to Aggreko’s ‘Greener Upgrades’ campaign which focused on environmental benefits and cost-effectiveness. The judges liked the multi-channel strategy, impressive engagement metrics and coverage in top industry publications.
Women in Construction Award - Multiplex - UK Women’s Network
The judges were impressed with Multiplex’s clear vision to tackle inequality and injustice in construction through the UK Women’s network, which aims to ensure every woman in Multiplex is empowered, knowledgeable and connected.
Rising Star Award - Natalie Harvey - Mott MacDonald
The judges chose Natalie due to her creative, problem-solving prowess, and industry innovation. They cited her as a future leader in the construction landscape who has exceptional potential.
Diversity in Construction Award - HS2
The judges voted for HS2 due to their exceptional commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce. Their commitment goes beyond statistics, transforming lives through innovative programs that empower unemployed Londoners to secure meaningful careers on HS2 projects.
